Black History Theatre Production and Follow up Workshops

The Think 2wice Prison Theatre Project:

This initiative was created in 2009 as a therapeutic tool to educate and empower through drama, music and story sharing. Young people, community leaders and inmates perform side by side during the annual Black History Events in the following Federal Institution: Beaver Creek Minimum & Medium sites, Collins Bay Minimum, Medium & Maximum sites (previously J-Unit-Millhaven) and Joyceville Minimum & Medium sites.

This initiative includes:

  • The building of Activists and Community Leaders to continue the  journey of equality
  • Follow up workshops messages are pulled apart and discussed in smaller intimate groups.
